More About Me

As an agent who has lived in this local area for over 40 years, I bring a wealth of knowledge on local communities, current market conditions, and the home buying and selling process. My years of experience in the automobile industry before becoming a real estate agent taught me the valued standards of customer service, client loyalty and attention to detail. I moved to Blackhawk in 1983 to raise our children in a gated community, surrounded with young families, recreation, and excellent schools. I was one of the pioneers in the creation, management, and implementation of the Association of Blackhawk Children (ABC). While my children attended Green Valley Elementary School I was involved in Art in the trunk, Yearly Jog-a-thon fund raising, Yearbook editor, and Adopt-a-Family program. I was also on the Tassajara Valley Little League Board running the Snack Shack and Umpire Co-Ordinator. Through my involvement in our community, I was chosen in 1991 for Diablo Magazine's "Blackhawk Community Leader of the year".


As my children got older, I decided to become a realtor in 2000 and began working for The Blackhawk Real Estate Co. I was very honored to learn from the best agents in the business and eventually became an owner agent. I have also been a member of the Real Estate Marketing Association since 2002 and have been honored as "Peg Deslaurie-Volunteer of the Year Award" for 2006, "The Realtor of the Year" for 2008, and "Hall of Fame" inductee for 2010.


I currently sit on the Board of Directors for VESTIA, Volunteer Emergency Services Team In Action, for low income children and families in Contra Costa County. We are a non-profit organization in a public-private partnership with Employment and Human Services Dept. to provide supplemental support to clients when no other resources are available.


I also am a Team Captain for the yearly American Heart Association Walk in Contra Costa County helping to raise thousands of dollars each year in honor of my deceased brother-in-law whom we lost from heart disease.


I love spending time in my community serving others. I am very fortunate that my children live and work in the Bay Area and I get to spend my spare time with my wonderful grandchildren. I also love going to the movies or eating out at local restaurants with family and friends.
